What is educational therapy, and how is it different from tutoring?

A tutor reteaches content from class. Educational therapy goes underneath that to ask why learning has felt hard in the first place, then rebuilds the foundation. We work on the underlying skills, the strategies, and the confidence a student needs to learn independently, not just tonight's homework.

Who do you work with?

Students in grades K through 12, including learners with autism (and PDA profiles), ADHD, dyslexia, dysgraphia, specific learning disabilities, and social-emotional or behavioral needs. Bright kids who feel stuck are very much welcome.

Where do sessions happen?

In our Berkeley office at 1760 Solano Avenue, on your student's school campus, or in your home, whatever best fits the plan we build together.

Question 4

How much does it cost? Do you take insurance?

Services are private-pay only and are not billed through insurance. Rates and additional service details are shared upon request, once we have a sense of what your learner needs.

Question 5

Can you help with IEPs and school meetings?

Yes. We offer education on the IEP process and your procedural safeguards, pre-IEP preparation and recommendations, and attendance at the meeting itself.
